About

I am currently a Business Systems Data Analyst with MTC Holding Corporation in Overland Park, KS.

I was formally a Systems Engineer at Leonardo UK in Edinburgh working in the radar modelling and signal processing team.  I previously completed my PhD in particle physics at the University of Manchester in 2022 as a member of the ATLAS collaboration at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), CERN. My research focus was working on model and detector independent searches sensitive to new phenomena in zero lepton, missing transverse energy and heavy flavour jets final states at the LHC. I also worked on light-flavour mistag rate in b-tagging.

I’ve also worked as a summer Systems Engineer intern with Leonardo in Edinburgh on improving data analysis for their synthetic-aperture radar (SAR) system and increasing cost-yield in manufacturing.

I graduated from Queen Mary, University of London in 2017 with a Msci in Physics with Particle Physics. My Msci thesis was ‘Searches for a LSP candidate in third-generation squark decays’ and my Bsc was a literature review of top quark properties.

I studied my A-levels at Brockenhurst college and my GCSE’s at Ballard School.

Prior to this I spent a few years in Wellington, New Zealand but grew up in Cape Town, South Africa.
